Ever since his childhood in the French region of Savoie, Stephane Olivier’s roots have been a defining trait of the journey he has traveled. This inspired botanist drew from his strong connection to nature to establish his career. First he was a creative florist in his shop in the Paris Marias district. Then later, he used his experience as an antiquary at “La petite maison”. At the Saint-Ouen market in the suburbs of Paris he began showcasing garden furniture, painted pieces, and industrial furniture. Saint-Ouen market is a life-size cabinet of curiosities gathering aficionados and private collectors, and is now a very successful, must-see venue. Stephane is an adept enthusiast, always looking for new adventures and discoveries. He lives his passion everyday.
When the opportunity to settle at the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pres arose, Stephane demonstrated his talent as an exhibitor in a new showroom where he had the inspiration to invite modern artists and creators and subtly combine 50s to 70s Scandinavian furniture with the more historical pieces from his early career. His selections are careful, and always guided by high standards of quality and authenticity. Stephane is addicted to beauty and nature, a powerful expression devoid of artifice, a certain sense of continuity that crosses the ages. He feels most at home surrounded by beauty and nature . (It is a world where he feels he belongs.)
Stephane became a true composer of collections of furniture and objects that he showcases. In this world, collectors increasingly trust him to realize their vision.
